Here it is 6:20 a.m. I have been awake since early-waiting for family to be ready to start the holiday! I remember when my kids were small they would have been up and back to bed holding their santa gifts by now. I am just so thankful to have a house full of family this morning- they could sleep till noon and I wouldn’t mind! I am so glad their drive across country is over and they are safe and sound. It is a wonderful thing to see them again. I am really thankful that we don’t have a bathroom in the downstairs though- or I would never see Jonathan. He has a nice little set up down there and only visits for short breaks. To be honest he as well as the other kids have been so busy. They emptied the moving truck yesterday and will be putting things into places for a few days I suspect. All while working around taking care of the baby. (who is the sweetest little boy in the entire world by the way!) Just a big THANK YOU to Auntie for taking the time to fly to Utah then help them get back here. You are my hero! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and that we can see you again really soon! Now we have the comfy bed in the computer room and you are always welcome! We had a great dinner on Christmas Eve. One which would not have been possible without the help of my good friend Robin. Right when I was getting ready to put the roast beast into the over pufffff….. it shot fire at me and decided it just want to smell like gas instead of burn it. So…. maybe tomorrow it will be out with the old and in with the new. It is hard to trust a gas stove that puffs fire at you. But anyway…the dinner was saved- Erin ran the roast to Robin (after a little side trip to some house we didn’t even know the people and a gust of wind that “stole” the tin foil…” ) it was just all very dramatic. It turned into a late dinner with good friends so that is all that matters. Once Erin realized she was eating with the serving fork we all realized bed time was closing in.
I do wish you all a very merry! I will try to write more often!
